Anthem Sunrise Ascent
on Mt. Washington
A Fundrasier for Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country

Sunday, August 2, 2020
This unique event is a fundraiser for Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country (ASPNC). Before sunrise, teams ascend the Auto Road determined to reach the 6,288-foot summit of Mount Washington. Each team includes an adaptive athlete and “mules” who help an athlete needing assistance or accompany an independent athlete as he or she climbs the 7.6 miles to the summit. Together the teams are inspired by the beauty of the sunrise, the majesty of the Presidential Range, and the determination shared among them.
Started in 2009, this event now accounts for one-third of ASPNC’s overall budget.
The Mt. Washington Auto Road is a proud sponsor—donating the use of the road (closed to all other traffic), event grounds, and support staff for this inspiring event.
Through the mission of ASPNC, thousands of athletes have been encouraged to maximize their abilities. The Auto Road support is honored to contribute to changing and enriching the lives of people of all abilities.
