Get your Season Pass to the Mt. Washington Auto Road!

Whether you’re a hiker, photographer, birder, weather fanatic, alpine flower lover – or just love having access to the tallest peak in the northeast – a season pass pays for itself in just a few drives! Season is typically early May through early November (weather permitting).

An Adult Auto Road Season Pass is $125 (ages 13+) and includes:

• access to the Auto Road during regular operational hours (visit as many times as you want during the 2025 season)
• free admission to the Mt. Washington Observatory Museum at the summit
• access to 2 sunrise and 2 sunset drives during the summer

Auto Road season passes are for individuals only and are not available for commercial use. Passholders will have to sign a release at the Auto Road base lodge to receive a season pass. For ages 4–12 the season pass rate is $45. Under 4 is free. 

Season pass and a valid form of ID need to be presented upon arrival. The vehicle being used needs to meet our safety guidelines and limitations to be allowed passage on the Auto Road. More passenger fares may be purchased on-site for each ascent.
