On September 9–12, 2026, two powerful beams of light will rise into the night sky from the summit of Mount Washington, New England’s highest peak at 6,288 feet. The Honor Summit is a special 25th anniversary tribute to 9/11, honoring the veterans, firefighters, first responders, and others who have dedicated their lives to serving and protecting others.

Please note: Drive Yourself is not available during this event. Guests must travel with one of our guided tour vans.
What to Expect
- Safe transportation to the summit of Mount Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast
- A curated mountain experience led by knowledgeable and dedicated tour guides who know and love Mount Washington
- Stories and insights about the unique history, flora, and fauna of the mountain
- Approximately one hour of unscheduled time at the summit to enjoy the experience at your own pace
Itinerary
7:15 PM: Depart the Base
Tours depart from the base of the Mount Washington Auto Road.
7:45 PM: Arrive at the Summit
Enjoy the approximately 30-minute journey to the summit while taking in the changing landscape and views along the way.
7:45–8:45 PM: Explore the Summit
Enjoy approximately one hour of free time at the summit. Take photos, experience the mountain, and take in the Honor Summit tribute.
8:45 PM: Depart the Summit
Tour vans will leave the summit for the approximately 30-minute drive back down the mountain.
